Painted Hinge
Our shutter frame hides the hinge within the profile, so you see clean lines instead of bulky fittings. The hidden mechanism keeps panels aligned, prevents drafts when paired with packers, and makes daily operation smoother.
Because the PVC is coloured all the way through, any minor knocks can be buffed back to a satin finish. It's waterproof, chlorine-proof and UV-stable - perfect for steamy bathrooms, poolsides and west-facing windows.
For thermal performance, shutters create a still-air barrier inside the frame. Industry testing on well-fitted shutters reports around R-3.17 and up to ~30% heat-gain reduction. Results vary depending on the window, installation and site conditions, so present it as comfort support rather than a guaranteed rating.
Cleaning is simple: use a damp microfiber cloth with a mild detergent and avoid solvents or abrasive pads.
